CHESTERFIELD — A man found dead at his Herrick Road home on Tuesday died from a "deep incised wound to the neck," according to authorities.
The death of John Giandalone, 64, has been ruled a homicide. Investigators continue to search for Peter Giandalone, 22, and Mr. Giandalone's 2012 red Subaru Impreza with New Hampshire license plate number 3241274. Both were last seen in the area of South Centerville, N.Y.
Peter Giandalone was supposed to be under house arrest at his parents’ home at 124 Herrick Road, according to court records. He was arrested in May on three felony counts of forgery.
According to the arrest affidavit, Giandalone told police he had committed similar crimes in towns in Vermont and Massachusetts.
At his arraignment in May, Cheshire County Superior Court Judge John Kissinger reduced the $10,000 cash bail Giandalone was being held on to $2,500 personal recognizance bail on several conditions — including that he live under house arrest with his parents, John and Mary Giandalone. Peter Giandalone was told not to leave the state and to stay away from the Keene businesses where he allegedly passed counterfeit bills.
During that arraignment, Giandalone’s defense attorney said John Giandalone was on the environmental services staff at Franklin Pierce University and his wife is a teacher.
Anyone who has seen the car or been in contact with Giandalone is asked to call Sgt. Justin Rowe, N.H. State Police, at 603-223-4381.
